What is a Cookie?
A unique code that the web server stores in a file on your hard drive. Then when you revisit the web site that created the cookie the information in the cookie will transfer through your connection to their server. This method may be used by web designers for a coule of reasons. One reason would be to track visitors to a web site so the visitors do not have to enter the same information every time they revisit the site. Another reason may display different information when the visitor returns.
